Founded and led by Pastors Dave and Kate Sumrall, ITOWN Church has become a beacon of faith and community in Fishers, Indiana, since its inception in 2010. Over the years, it has grown from a small launch team to serving thousands of worshippers across three locations, including Bluffton.

Pastor Dave Sumrall shared the journey of ITOWN Church’s expansion to Bluffton, saying, “Bluffton started with a small group of 70 to 80 people, who just started watching us online, gathering together in their homes. And it grew large enough to be at the Bluffton High School here in town.” Their commitment to building a vibrant spiritual community led them to a partnership with the Bluffton congregation.

Today, ITOWN Church is thriving and now owns 37 acres of land where they plan to construct a 16,000 square foot facility. This state-of-the-art building will include a 500-seat auditorium, dedicated kids’ areas, and a café serving specialty drinks throughout the week. It aims to be a welcoming space for church members and the community to gather, study, and find solace.

Pastor Dave Sumrall also expressed his openness to future possibilities, saying, “We believe the building is positioned in a way that we’ve got plenty of land to do whatever God leads us to do with the rest of the property.”

The church’s construction approach involves five separate steel buildings, each serving a unique purpose, which will be joined together to create a unified facility. Construction is on a fast track, with the goal of completing all infrastructure, including the parking lot, by January. The final construction is expected to be completed by the end of the year.

While the new facility takes shape, ITOWN Church invites the community to visit their temporary location at the local high school, emphasizing their commitment to Bluffton’s growth and well-being.

Caleb Grover, who leads the Bluffton campus, received praise for his dedication and love for the community. “We are very excited about having a permanent home in the community of Bluffton because we love this city, and we’re just excited to be here for the long haul,” said Pastor Dave Sumrall.

The Wells County Chamber of Commerce extends its heartfelt congratulations to ITOWN Church on this significant milestone and looks forward to witnessing their continued positive impact on the Bluffton community.
