Among the activities at the Wells Community Boys & Girls Club during their Field Day on July 11 was the playing of Ga Ga ball, in the inflatable circle pit that was a gift to the club from Bluffton’s Bargain Hut. The game’s object is to swat at the ball and have it hit another player below the waist. If hit that player is eliminated and the game ends when one player has not been hit by the ball. This is the 11th year that the Bargain Hut has presented a gift to the cub. (Photos by Barbara Barbieri)

Another activity was having your face (or arm) painted by one of the talented young artists. Galbriella, center, was painting a bee on Club Director Vicki Bell’s hand, at left, while Amberlynn, at right looked on. The Field Day is an annual event for the club
Various age groups of youngsters rotated around the club for a variety of activities using balls. This group were into a version of soccer while others ran an obstacle course using ball handling skills.
