Betty Lou Stevens, 81, of Montpelier, passed away on Dec. 19, 2022, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne.
She was born on April 7, 1941, in Bald Knob, Ky. She married Leonard Stevens on Oct. 17, 1976; he survives.
Betty is also survived by two children, Barry F. Dolen of Hartford City, Ind., and Rodney D. Dolen of Dunkirk, Ind.; siblings, Leon Waters of Muncie, Elsie Jones of Onida, Tenn., Stella Ball of Mason, Ohio, and Millard Waters Jr., Edna Waters, Guy Waters and Joyce Waters, all of Strunk, Ky.; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her father, Millard Waters, and mother, Mae (Spradlin) Waters, and daughter, Tammy A. Benedict.
Family and friends may gather to share and remember from 4-8 p.m. on Dec. 26, 2022, at Walker and Glancy Funeral Home, 109 W Windsor St., Montpelier.
A service will be held at 1 p.m. on Dec. 27, 2022, at Walker and Glancy Funeral Home with Steve Garrett officiating. Interment will follow in the Brookside Memorial Park in Montpelier.
