The season for Norwell football had an unfortunate ending, losing to Yorktown in the sectional championship last Friday 42-41. Despite the loss, it doesn’t take away from the 8-1 record and No. 4 ranking they ended within the regular season and 6-1 in the Northeast 8 Conference.

The NE8 posted its all-conference winners monday morning, and the Knights were well-represented with 13 award recipients.

On the first team, Norwell’s selections were running back Luke Graft, offensive lineman and punter Brody Bolyn, defensive end Trey Bodenheimer, linebackers Aydan Rusu and Drew Ringger, safety Jon Colbert, cornerback Cade Shelton, and kicker Austin DeLeon.

On the second team were wide receiver Kline Neuenschwander and offensive lineman Kyle Zeddis.

Honorable mentions were quarterback Lleyton Bailey and offensive lineman Ayden Billiard.

Norwell had the second most selections in the conference behind the champ Columbia City’s 19.
