Temperatures were in the mid-90s Monday afternoon in Bluffton and people sought relief from the oppressive heat by heading to the city’s splash pad at Pickett’s Run Park (above) and the Wells Community Pool on Spring Street (below). 4-year-old William Frauhiger (at left) may have been the smartest person in town as he buries his face in one of the splash pad’s water sprays.
