Wednesday, 7:59 p.m., residence in the 1100 block of West South Street. Report of a female juvenile making threats with a knife. Officers responded. Situation calmed. Parties separated.
Wednesday, 8:38 p.m., residence in the 1100 block of West Central Avenue. Officer removed a bat from the residence.
Thursday, 1 a.m., residence in the 900 block of West Market Street. Open line 911 call. Dispatcher could hear people arguing in the background. Officers dispatched. The people who had been arguing had left.
Thursday, 12:06 p.m., apartment in the 300 block of West Wabash Street. Man reported being able to hear someone “messing with” his front door. Officer dispatched. There was no one around.
Thursday, 1:10 p.m., Praxis substance abuse treatment facility. Officer requested on a report of a patient threatening self harm.

Wednesday, 2:25 p.m., U.S. 224 between 100W and 200W. Road rage incident involving two men in a pickup truck and a road work crew. State police trooper calmed the situation.
Wednesday, 5:47 p.m., residence on 400N east of 400E. Report of an open line 911 call. Deputies dispatched. The phone that had placed the call was found discarded in the front yard of the residence and the homeowner had no clue who it belonged to or how it got into his yard.
Wednesday, 7:56 p.m., residence on Tile Street in Tocsin. Report of an unwanted woman at the residence. Sheriff’s deputies responded. Situation calmed, parties separated.
Wednesday, 10:33 p.m., Ind. 1 at 1200N. Caller reported a vehicle driving south on Ind. 1 was weaving all over the road and had crossed the center line multiple times. An Ossian police officer located the vehicle on Mill Street and followed it into the Bunn addition on the east side of town where he pulled it over. Garrett Arthur Ritchie, 24, rural Ossian, was arrested on charges of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated with a prior conviction for the same or a similar offense, a Level 6 felony; operating a vehicle with an alcohol concentration equivalency of .15 percent or more, a Class A misdemeanor; and operating a motor vehicle after having been found to be an habitual traffic violator. Bond set at $10,000.
Thursday, 10:34 a.m., Silo Farms mobile home park. Prescription pain and anti-anxiety medications stolen from a vehicle parked at the mobile home park.
ACCIDENTS

Tuesday, 5:09 a.m., Wabash Street east of Indiana Street. Angela D. McEwen, 37, Berne, was eastbound on Wabash Street when she sneezed and her 2012 Chevrolet Equinox struck a stopped 2017 GMC Sierra driven by Michael P. Benedict, 31, Poneto. Damage exceeded $1,000.
FIRE RUNS
Wednesday, 2:01 p.m., IMI Erie Stone, 2321E-150N. Fire in a control shanty. Bluffton, uniondale and Ossian fire departments dispatched. The shanty was located about three stories off the ground and sustained damage to one wall. The fire was put out using three fire extinguishers. Some hot spots in the wall of the shanty were also cooled by firefighters. The cause of the fire is believed to be a short in the wiring. Ossian and Uniondale fire departments were advised to disregard.
Wednesday, 2:07 p.m., Arden Hamilton residence, 6656S-100E. Skid loader on fire next to the house. Poneto and Nottingham Township fire departments dispatched.
Wednesday, 3:06 p.m., Matthew and Elizabeth Bertsch residence. Smoke alarm reported by an alarm service. Bluffton Fire Department dispatched. No fire. A teenager burned a pizza and didn’t realize when the alarms sound it also results in the fire department being dispatched.
Wednesday, 7:10 p.m., Nicholas Bright residence, 715 S. Williams Street. Trash fire in the backyard. Bluffton Fire Department dispatched, doused the fire and informed the homeowner of the city ordinance.
Thursday, 4:25 a.m., Robert A. Harris residence, 504 E. Ohio St. Small shed on fire. Bluffton, Liberty Township and Ossian fire departments dispatched. The fire was brought under control in nine minutes. The fire in the 14-foot-by-eight-foot yard barn started in a back corner of the shed, but the cause is unknown. The shed was reported to be packed with contents that were extensively damaged. The fire may have been burning for awhile before it was finally detected.

Lawrence Herman Dishong, 62, Bluffton; possession of methamphetamine, a Level 5 felony; unlawful possession of a hypodermic syringe, a Level 6 felony; maintaining a controlled substance common nuisance, a Level 6 felony; and possession of drug paraphernalia, a Class C misdemeanor. No bond set.
Yull Thomas Bailey Jr., 42, Bluffton; unlawful possession of a hypodermic syringe, possession of methamphetamine and maintaining a controlled substance common nuisance, all Level 6 felonies; possession of marijuana, a Class B misdemeanor; and possession of a controlled substance, a Class C misdemeanor. Bond set at $16,500.
Triandra Keshun Agee, 24, Fort Wayne; probation violation. No bond set.
