Tuesday, 4:12 p.m., McDonald’s restaurant, 984 N. Main St. Female threatening a caller with physical violence after the caller asked her not to cross the parking lot.
Tuesday, 4:18 p.m., North Main Motors, 945 N. Main St. Caller reported purchasing a car in October. The purchase price included delivery. The car was never delivered and the caller was advised that no one knew where the vehicle was located.
Tuesday, 4:18 p.m., Washington Park, 710 S. Mulberry St. Juvenile banned from the park caught in the park. He was referred to Wells Circuit Court on juvenile charges of criminal trespass and minor in possession of tobacco.
Tuesday, 8:41 p.m., Dollar General Store, 1311 S. Main St. Officer investigated a shoplifting incident.
Tuesday, 9:45 p.m., Bond Street at South Street. Caller reported hearing children screaming and shouting “No!” Officer responded. The youth were playing.
Tuesday, 11:55 p.m., 500 block of East Ohio Street. Report of multiple children lying in the street and in neighbor’s yards. Officer spoke with the youth, advised them of the curfew ordinance and told them to stay on their own property for the night.
Wednesday, 1:02 p.m., Praxis substance abuse treatment center, 1529 W. Lancaster St. Patient walked away from the facility. An officer located her and noted that she had two separate warrants for arrest out of LaPorte County. Bealor, a resident of New Carlisle, was arrested for violating pre-trial release conditions on charges of possession of methamphetamine, a Level 6 felony, and on one count of identity deception, also a Level 6 felony.

Tuesday, 12:10 a.m., 450E near 800N. Deputy pulled over a vehicle for weaving within its lane. As he was speaking with the driver, he noticed a strong odor of raw marijuana emanating from the interior of the vehicle. Upon further investigation and questioning, the passenger in the vehicle, Braden Lee Phillips, 19, Portland, admitted to having marijuana in the vehicle. Wells County Deputy Sheriff K-9 Leo reportedly alerted on the vehicle and handler Sgt. Andrew Campbell reportedly found two clear sandwich bags containing a green leafy substance with the odor and appearance of marijuana under the passenger seat of the vehicle. He was charged with possession of marijuana, a Class B misdemeanor, and released from custody on his own recognizance.
ACCIDENTS

Tuesday, 6:35 p.m., Ind. 1 north of U.S. 224. A 2007 Chrysler 300, driven by Olena P. Zhezel, 19, Berne, hit a 2017 Ford Escape driven by Corinne N. Shifferly, 27, rural Decatur, from behind as Shifferly slowed to make a left turn into the driveway of a residence. Damage to the two vehicles exceeded $5,000. Shifferly complained of pain at the scene and her four-year-old daughter also complained of head pain. They were checked out by medics from Wells County EMS but neither were transported to a hospital
Tuesday, 2:29 p.m., U.S. 224 west of 450E. Isabelle Ashliman, 17, rural Bluffton, was driving a 2010 Nissan Altima east on U.S. 224 when she realized she missed the driveway of the her destination. She slowed down looking for a different driveway to turn around in. Upon finding one, she started to turn — just as Reece Haynes, 24, Clinton, was attempting pass on the right in his 2007 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck. The ensuing collision caused more than $25,000 damage. Ashliman and her passenger were checked out at the scene for injuries, but neither was transported to the hospital.
FIRE RUNS
Wednesday, 6:50 a.m., 300S at 600W. Report of an anhydrous ammonia nurse tank leaking. Liberty Township Fire Department dispatched and turned off an open valve on the tank.
ARRESTS
Kobi Michael Donnersbach, 23, Bluffton; failure to appear in court, a Level 6 felony. No bond set.
Brook Leann Jupin, 45, Marion; failure to appear in court, a Level 6 felony. Bond set at $5,000.
