ACCIDENTS
City:
Thursday, 5:33 p.m., Main Street south of Monroe Street. Cole A. Meeks, 20, Liberty Center, was driving south on Main Street when a vehicle ahead of his 2013 Chevrolet Silverado slowed abruptly to make a right turn onto Monroe Street without signaling the turn. Meeks tried to slow down but could not because of the snow-covered surface of the road. To avoid a rear-end collision, he swerved the pickup truck to the right and it plowed into a pile of snow. However the trailer it was pulling broke free and continued south, crashing into the back of the pickup truck. Damage exceeded $1,000.
