Bluffton High School is proud to announce senior Bailey Yates has been named a Commended Student in the 2025 National Merit Scholarship Program.
About 34,000 Commended Students throughout the U.S. are being recognized for their exceptional academic promise. Commended Students placed among the top 50,000 students who entered the 2025 competition by taking the 2023 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test, according to the National Merit Scholarship Corporation.
“Bailey Yates is an excellent role model for our students,” BHS Principal Steve Baker says. “She is a well-rounded student who has always pushed herself to the highest levels of academic success possible. Bailey has taken the most rigorous and challenging courses that Bluffton High School has offered and she is now reaping the rewards of her hard work.”
