An overflow crowd viewed 64 paintings and sketches by Wells County artist Harry Lindstrand Sunday afternoon during a special open house honoring the artist at the Wells County Historical Museum. In addition to paintings owned by the museum, many others were shared by the Wells County Public Library, the Creative Arts Council, as well as others held by individuals and family members. The two closest living relatives of the noted artist were in attendance. At left, Chris Hookanson Youngberg traveled from her home in Wilmette, Illinois. while Jennifer James Rozzi traveled from Rochester, New York, to attend the event. The two are cousins and nieces of Lindstrand, their mothers being siblings. Rozzi shared that her uncle included a small sketch of something related to her childhood in Bluffton with the birthday cards he would send her. She plans to donate a number of those to the museum when she makes her annual trip back to Bluffton for the Street Fair in September. (Photo by Mark Miller)
