Grant Bucher, a Wells County native, placed fifth in the Republican nomination for U.S. Representative in District 3 but took the lion’s share of votes in Wells County. Bucher received 2,048 votes — nearly triple Wells’ second-place candidate, Marlin A. Stutzman, who ultimately secured the nomination.

Republican results were: Bucher (2,048), Wendy Davis (553), Mike Felker (52), Jon Kenworthy (84), Tim Smith (591), Marlin A. Stutzman (718), Eric Whalen (50) and Andy Zay (660).
