Edward P. Jambora, 82, of Bluffton, passed away on Sunday morning, April 21, 2024, at his residence, surrounded by his family.
He was born on Dec. 19, 1941, in Ludlow, Massachusetts, to Walter and Isabelle (Czerniak) Jambora. Ed was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a candy salesman for The Bradly Smith Co. and retired from the U.S. Postal Service. He was a sports fan and loved the watch all sports, especially the Red Sox. He enjoyed studying the Bible, fishing and camping with family, and took piano and organ lessons for 10 years and still played at home. He loved watching old, old and I mean old classic movies.
On Oct. 31, 1970, Ed married Cathy Bounds in Longmeadow, Massachusetts. They shared 53 years of marriage together.
Survivors include his wife, Cathy (Bounds) Jambora; a son, Andrew and his wife, Amy, along with their children Cameron, Evan, Gavin, Aiden and Emmalyn; a daughter, Julie (Jambora) Bernier and her husband, Mike, along with their children, Logan and Sean; a brother, Jimmy Jambora; and a sister Regina Meadows.
He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Richard.
Visitation will take place from 1-3 p.m. on Saturday, May 4, 2024, with a memorial service at 3 p.m. with Pastor Les Cantrell officiating at the Thoma/Rich, Lemler Funeral Home in Bluffton.
Burial will take place at Elm Grove Cemetery at a later date.
