Wow! Last Sunday was so much fun at the Mother/Son Nerf War and the Daddy-Daughter Dance. It was a very long day for us, but it was totally worth it when you saw the smiles on everyone’s faces. Special thanks to our volunteer crew, who, between everyone’s time, put in about 122 hours of work.

The Earth Day 5K is coming back this year and will be held Saturday, April 20, at 9 a.m. Enjoy a no-frills, no-fuss, inexpensive 5K race while we care for the planet. In honor of Earth Day, we will recycle old event shirts and SWAG by giving them away until they’re gone. No plastic water bottles, no new race bibs, and no extra waste for this event! Follow us on Facebook for registration details.

2024 Kehoe Concert Sponsorship opportunities: This year marks the 33rd year of the Kehoe Park Summer Concert Series! This highly anticipated series has developed a reputation for featuring quality bands and expert musicianship that draw visitors to Bluffton. To bring talent from across the country, we rely on local sponsors who believe in showcasing our community to audiences that can reach an attendance of more than 1000. The Kehoe Park Summer Concert Committee is dedicated to reaching a broad audience by offering free concerts. We can only keep these shows free with the generosity of our local businesses, organizations, and private donors. Would you like to get the word out about your business at the same time as you give back to the community?

Donations of $1,200 or more will be recognized as a Concert Sponsor at one of the performances. Additionally, Concert Sponsors will be announced during the show, have printed yard signs in the park, listed on the digital sign at the Common’s Parking lot, and shared on the City’s website and social media pages. Concert Donors who contribute a gift of any size will be listed on the flyer shared on the City’s Website and social media pages. All donors who reply by March 15 will be listed on the printed flyer distributed throughout town. Contributions supporting the Kehoe Park Summer Concert Series are tax-deductible and may be directed to the Wells County Foundation, Inc. (Please note Kehoe Park Summer Concert Series in the memo section of your check.)

Baseball, Softball, and any team organizers who wish to request diamond rentals during 2024 must attend the next Park Board meeting scheduled on Thursday, March 14, at 6:30 p.m. on the second floor of City Hall to coordinate schedules. Rental agreements can be sent in advance by request by calling 824-6069.

We want to thank the Huggins-Mann Pretzels, Inc. Legacy Fund for their recent unrestricted donation to the parks and the Howard and Beverly Rich Endowment Fund for providing a donation to the Kehoe Summer Concerts! We appreciate all the help we receive to improve our parks and events!

Have a great week!
