County Drainage Board will meet Monday afternoon

The Wells County Drainage Board will meet at 4:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 4, in Room 105, the multi-purpose room on the lower level of the Wells Carnegie Government Annex, 223 W. Washington St.

Items on the agenda include:

• Discussion regarding jurisdiction in  proposed Kitterman Consolidated Watershed in Chester Township and Graham and Halls Creek Watershed and Drains. 

• Consideration of a utility easement to install fiber optic broadband in Rockcreek and Lancaster townships.

• Appointment of an interim deputy.

• Project updates and miscellaneous drainage matters. 

County Commissioners will hold public hearing Monday

The Wells County Commissioners will hold a public hearing regarding a petition to vacate a portion of County Road 500 West at 5 p.m. Monday, Dec. 4, in Room 105, the multi-purpose room on the lower level of the Wells Carnegie Government Annex, 223 W. Washington St. 

The petition identifies the portion of CR 500W as south of the intersection of CR 500W and CR 100N to a point south of the Whitelock Ditch culvert on CR 500W, a length of 1,650 ft.

County Commissioners will meet Monday evening

The Wells County Commissioners will hold their regular meeting directly following a public hearing at 5 p.m. Monday, Dec. 4, in Room 105, the multi-purpose room on the lower level of the Wells Carnegie Government Annex, 223 W. Washington St.

The Bluffton Board of Public Works and Safety will meet at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 5, in the Council Chambers on the second floor of City Hall, 128 E. Market St.
