Above, Cooper Bell reads to Rory at the Wells County Boys and Girls Club after school on Monday. Two afternoons per week, Julie Lefforge and Rory the Shetland Sheepdog read with kids at the facility. Each child takes a turn reading their chosen book to Rory. Rory has been offering his calm demeanor and loving presence to reading children since he was 4-years-old.

Lefforge said her goal is to help children enjoy reading and make it a fun activity. Cooper read a Dr. Seuss book to Rory before playing a game of hide and seek.
