On Sunday, Nov. 19, 2023, Lee D. Oliver, 85 of Warren, began his new adventure with his savior, Jesus!

Lee was born on July 22, 1938, in Evergreen Park, Ill., to David Henry and Margaret (Ott) Oliver and graduated from Chicago Vocational High School in 1956. Lee honorably served in the U.S. Navy from 1956 to 1959. He married Marilyn (Hasler) Oliver on June 6, 1970.

He worked as a heavy equipment operator while living in California. Lee and Marilyn moved to Indiana in 1975 and he worked as a truck driver for 35 years. 

Lee’s love for Jesus led him on numerous short term mission trips to Ecuador, Romania, and Uganda. He also took part in many disaster relief trips within the U.S.

Survivors include his wife, Marilyn Oliver of Warren, brother, John Oliver of California, and nieces and nephews; Christine Dunn, Deb Hoagland, Tracy Oliver, Brooke Krupiczewicz, Brad Hasler, April Clopton, Melissa George, Ryan Hasler and Megan Madsen.

He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Richard Oliver.

Private family services will take place with burial at Marion National Cemetery in Marion.
