We had such a fun week of programs that kept us busy. We were amazed to have over 3,600 come through the city gym in a little over an hour during the Boo In Bluffton on Halloween night. Sam, the Sneaky Turkey, appeared in the parks, so be on the lookout for him again next week for a chance to win a prize.
Thursday morning was a special tot event, and children could visit the Fire Department for a tour. Drop-in tot time is every Tuesday and Thursday from 11-noon until March to give children a warm, safe place to play over the winter months. Open Gym for school-aged kids where kids can enjoy supervised gym time has started. Feel free to drop off your kids from 3:30-6 p.m. every Thursday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday until mid-March. A waiver will need a parent’s signature on the first day the child attends.
Don’t forget to visit the Bluffton Parks Facebook page this weekend to vote for your favorite kid in the Virtual Costume Contest. Each like will count as a vote, and the photo with the most likes will receive a prize.

Free Weekday Walking is held until March 29th from 8:30-10:30 a.m. in the Bluffton City Gym 128 E. Market St. Walking is one of the best exercises for all age groups and has many health benefits. If you can spare fifteen minutes every day for walking, it is sure to help you maintain a healthy weight. But in many places, the weather is unfavorable for many months, forcing people to remain indoors. That is why the Parks Department has decided to open the city gym free of charge to any adult who would like to get some exercise during the cold months. Participants can enter through the glass door on the West side of the building and sign in on the wooden door each day you attend. If you are the last to leave the gym, please turn off the light in the southwest corner. 1 Mile = 20 laps
The Bluffton Parks Department is looking for any pet-friendly business that would like to be a vendor at our Paws and Claus event on Dec. 13. The program will run from 5:30-7 p.m. in the Bluffton City Gym. If you are interested in participating, email events@blufftonindiana.gov for free table space.
