City:

Monday, 2:12 p.m., Bluffton Police Department. Subject appeared at the station to report fraud.

Monday, 3:47 p.m., 1000 block of South Oak Street. Report of a domestic issue. Man warned for behavior.

Monday, 4:15 p.m., 1100 block of South Jersey Street. Report of a shopping cart in the alley with items in it, possibly put there by child at the address.

Monday, 6:48 p.m., Welches. Caller reported subjects possibly going through vehicles on property, nothing appeared suspicious.

Monday, 8:28 p.m., Forgotten Children. Report of broken glass in the roadway. Officer didn’t locate any glass.

Monday, 9:03 p.m., WEG. Report of woman under the influence of some form of drugs, woman claimed it was a medical issue. Caller requested assistance due to woman’s insistence on driving. Woman was transported to Bluffton Regional Medical Center by WEG staff.

Monday, 10:46 p.m., 200 block of East Ohio Street. Report of a man messing with Halloween decorations. Subject warned for trespassing.

Monday, 6:09 a.m., Taco Bell. Driver reported subject on phone and weaving and speeding while driving and believed the subject would land at Inteva. Officer spoke to both drivers and informed them he would keep an eye out for further issues as both drivers had issues of cell phone usage and speeding from Allen County to Bluffton.

Tuesday, 6:11 a.m., Sortpro Overhead. Report of attempted breaking and entering.

Tuesday, 10:43 a.m., Rough Park. Report of a patient attacking caller and running away. One juvenile detained.

County:

Monday, 12:11 p.m., Silo Farms. Caller reported resident inflicted minor damage in the grassy field area near burn pile with a vehicle. Requested a report and for officer to speak with the tenant. Tenant was apologetic and did not intend to cause damage.

Monday, 2:13 p.m., 5900 block of North Miller Street, Uniondale. Juvenile caller reported another juvenile threatened to shoot them and their dogs and showed a gun in a video. Ambiguous Snapchat video evidence was shown to the officer. Juveniles advised to stop immediately and that law enforcement was involved.

Monday, 3:27 p.m., 7500 South 200 East, Bluffton. Caller reported someone hit her mailbox with a vehicle overnight. No leads on the mailbox murderer but wanted to make officers aware.

Monday, 5:23 p.m., Ind. 1 and East 200 South, Bluffton. Report of two horses on the side of the road just minding their own business. Horses contained prior to officer arrival.

Monday, 8:33 p.m., 6800 South 1000 West, Warren. Report of man in middle of road. Officers assisted subject and family.

Monday, 9:14 p.m., Ind. 116 and 600 East, Bluffton. Car versus deer.

Tuesday, 9:04 a.m., West 1000 south and 500 West, Montpelier. Equinox versus deer.

Tuesday, 9:04 a.m., Ind. 116 and 300 West, Markle. Car versus deer. Deer not quite dead.

Ossian:

Monday, 5:43 p.m., 400 block of Millside Court, Ossian. Caller reported subject who used to live at residence broke into house and took belongings.

Monday, 7:54 p.m., 5900 East North Street, Ossian. Report of man in white car taking pictures of residence, second occasion. Subject stated he had a badge and left.

ACCIDENTS

County:

Tuesday, 4:10 a.m., Ind. 224 and 300 West. Preston Hamilton was driving Eastbound on Ind. 224 when he failed to negotiate a right hand curve. Hamilton’s Dodge Dart crossed the center line, continuing straight, and hit a raised driveway and culvert. This caused Hamilton’s vehicle to become airborne and collide with an REMC utility pole, causing wires to hang across the roadway. Hamilton was able to climb out of the passenger side window and sustained heavy bleeding from his mouth and face. Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash. Hamilton was transported to Lutheran Hospital for injuries. Jonathon Mygrant was driving Westbound on Ind. 224 when his Volvo Semi Tractor collided with the wires hanging from the broken pole. Semi sustained minor damages fixed by A Plus on the side of the road.

ARRESTS

Donovan Earl Clark, 68, Bluffton, battery — bodily injury, a Class A misdemeanor. Bond set at $1,500.

Israel Gonzalez-Granados, 32, Fort Wayne, battery, a Class A misdemeanor, and disorderly conduct, a Class A misdemeanor. Bond set at $2,000.
