Bluffton Board of Works to meet Tuesday afternoon
The Bluffton Board of Public Works and Safety will meet at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 26, in the Council Chambers on the second floor of City Hall, 128 E. Market St. in Bluffton.
Topics on the agenda include:
• Financial matters
• New business, including a block street request from Tim Simpson and CRP Application from Mayor John Whicker.
Norwell school board will meet Tuesday evening
The board of the Norwell Community Schools will meet at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 26, at Norwell High School, 1100E. U.S. 224 in Ossian.
Topics on the agenda include:
• Personnel matters, field trip requests and acceptance of donations
• Discussion items, including a construction update from Dylan Markley of Weigand Construction and the 2024-25 calendar.
• A hearing for the adoption of an additional appropriation resolution and final bond resolution.
• Action on the 2024 budget maximum tax rate resolution, advertising of the 2024 budget, 2024-28 bus replacement plan, 2024 capital projects plan, and 2024-25 calendar.
• The board will also consider using a funds from the Wells County Foundation “Virginia Gene Neuenschwander Youth Fund” to provide funding support for Victor Pacini’s Be Seen and Heard Program.
A strategic planning meeting will immediately follow the regular board meeting.
The meeting will include the following topics:
• District-wide planning
• Mental health supports
PSAP Advisory Board to meet Wednesday morning
The Public Safety Access Point Advisory Board will meet at 8 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 27, in Room 105, the multi-purpose room on the lower level of the Wells Carnegie Government Annex, 223 W. Washington St. in Bluffton.

• A discussion on approving new policies
