Brian R. Schuyler, 65, Ossian, appeared for an initial hearing in the Wells Superior Court last week. Bond was set at $3,000 cash or surety. Pretrial home detention ordered. Schuyler was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated with a prior conviction within 7 years, operating a vehicle with an ACE of .15 or more, and resisting law enforcement using a vehicle, all Level 6 felonies. He also received an infraction for driving without a valid license. A status of counsel hearing is scheduled for 9 a.m. on Oct. 2 in the Wells Superior Court.

Trey A Mettler, 29, Bluffton, appeared for a status hearing in the Wells Superior Court last week. Mettler was charged with failure to register as a sex or violent offender, a Level 6 Felony. Bond was set at $3,000 cash or surety. Pretrial home detention was also ordered. In late January, Mettler was sentenced to 548 days to the Indiana Department of Corrections with all time suspended and one year of probation for the same charge. A petition to revoke the suspended sentence was filed on Aug. 1. A pretrial conference for this case is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. on Oct. 5 in the Wells Superior Court.

Christen M.A. Ford, 24, Bluffton, was scheduled to appear for a status hearing in the Wells Superior Court on Thursday after he was charged with intimidation, a Class A Misdemeanor. A warrant was issued for his arrest with no bond granted.

Sevada Palmore, 48, South Bend, was scheduled to appear for an initial hearing in the Wells Superior Court on Monday after being charged with auto theft, a Level 6 Felony and theft, a Class A Misdemeanor. A warrant was already issued for Palmore’s arrest on July 31 for failing to appear on said date. A pretrial conference is scheduled for 9 a.m. on Oct 16.

Jamin R Dickson, 22, Ossian, appeared for a modification hearing in the Wells Superior Court on Thursday. In Feb. last year, Dickson pleaded guilty to strangulation and domestic battery, both Level 6 Felonies. He was sentenced to 730 days in the Indiana Department of Corrections with all but 180 days suspended and 550 days of probation. One charge for domestic battery committed in the presence of a child, a Level 6 Felony, was dismissed as part of the plea agreement. At the hearing Thursday, Dickson’s probation was terminated as well as the no contact order in place.
