Several children recently completed the 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten Program at the Wells County Public Library by reading and listening to 1,000 books with the help of family members.

Above, Katie Jo Wisenbaker (holding her prize book “Baby Pets”) is pictured with her nanny Korinne Kershner.

Laiklyn Enyeart (holding her prize book “Color Zoo”) is pictured with her parents Kayci and Robert and her sister Kendyl.
Kylie Mayer (holding her prize book “That Fruit is Mine”) is pictured with her parents Jeremy and Vanessa.

The 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program is sponsored by the United Way of Wells County, the Wells County Foundation, and the Friends of the Library. The program not only helps prepare children for school, but instills the value of reading and life-long learning.
