Wednesday, 2:30 p.m., residence on Westgate Road. Juvenile hasn’t returned home. Located running southbound from Washington Park. Placed in police custody and mother contacted. 

Wednesday, 2:44 p.m., Save on Liquor South. Report of harassment via text from coworker’s husband. 

Wednesday, 4:24 p.m., Washington Park. Found BB gun. 

Wednesday, 4:44 p.m., Bluffton Regional Medical Center. Vehicle with dead battery. Son enroute to help. 

Wednesday, 5:27 p.m., residence on North Williams Street. Request for officer presence while serving an eviction notice. Assisted without issue. 

Wednesday, 6:52 p.m., 20/20 Custom Molded Plastics. Vehicle hit concrete pole. Report to follow. 

Wednesday, 8 p.m., 123 West Market St. Report of physical altercation between a man and a woman. Man advised his ex had attacked him and fled. Officer offered transport to Fort Wayne Rescue Mission.

Wednesday, 10:20 p.m., 904S Main St. Citation issued for expired plates. 

Thursday, 10:57 a.m., First Fleet. Lost plate.

Thursday, 12:50 p.m., 193N Oak St. Former employee allegedly took money from the caller’s vehicle.

Wednesday, 2:47 p.m., 100E and 800N. Citation issued for speeding. 

Wednesday, 5:58 p.m., 45W 2nd St., Poneto. Caller reported seeing a group of teens walking around in ski masks with pistols around noon. Deputy unsure if this was a real occurrence. Unable to locate. Advised the caller to contact if the group was seen again. 

Wednesday, 5:58 p.m., 3755W 400S, Liberty Center. Cows in the roadway. Owners on scene attempted to corral the cattle. 

Wednesday, 4:32 p.m., U.S. 224 and Ind. 1. Vehicle in southbound lane with tire off. 

Thursday, 8:15 a.m., Ind. 124 and 100W. Citation issued for 68 in a 55 mph zone. 

Thursday, 9 a.m., Ind. 1 and 350N. Loose horses. Horses contained at 9:09 a.m.

Thursday, 9:20 a.m., Ind. 124 and 700E. Abandoned vehicle partially on the roadway. Vehicle tagged. 

Thursday, 11:05 a.m., 1000S and 1100W. Caller advised his farm equipment is stuck in the road and parts to fix the problem are expected within two hours. 

Thursday, 11:09 a.m., 450E and 1000N. Citation issued for speeding. 

ACCIDENTS

City:

Wednesday, 2:04 p.m., North Main Street at the intersection of Sewage Plant Drive. Angela M. Swatts, 57, Noblesville, was driving a 2019 Nissan Murano SUV northbound on Ind. 1 and attempted to turn into Hott Dentistry, but struck the curb. Swatts was motioned by a witness to back the vehicle, and the rear of her vehicle was struck by a 2008 Chrysler Town and Country van driven by Darrell E. Stout, 65, Bryant. Stout said he was unable to avoid collision as the SUV backed into oncoming traffic. Both vehicle’s were towed by Pemberton’s. Damage exceeded $5,000.

Wednesday, 3:52 p.m., 700N at Meridian Road, Uniondale. Gabrielle M. Cogar, 16, Markle, was driving a 2005 Saturn Ion westbound on 700N and, as the road went from paved to gravel, lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle entered the ditch, struck a utility pole, and came to rest on its top. The vehicle was towed by Freeman’s. Damage exceeded $5,000. 

Wednesday, 7:44 p.m., 900S, Liberty Center. Drew M. Hollman, 28, Berne, was pulling a 2018 Honda CR-V SUV right out of the school parking lot and failed to yield right of way to a 2017 GMC Yukon XL driven by Marie Byler, 36, Poneto. Damage exceeded $10,000. 

FIRES

Thursday, 11:47 a.m., 2979E Dyar Rd., Ossian. Grass fire near wood pile. Fire 50 ft. away from house. Ossian Fire Department responded. Fire under control at 11:57 a.m.

ARRESTS

Sean Allen Britt, 29, Bucyrus, Ohio; possession of meth, a Level 6 felony. No bond set. 

Jesse Allen Carr, 32, Bluffton; harassment, a Class B misdemeanor. Bond set at $1,000. Bonded.
