Thursday, 2:11 p.m. Report of an individual causing a disturbance at the Bluffton Regional Medical Center, 303 S. Main St.
Thursday, 2:30 p.m. Bag of clothes found at a school bus stop at the corner of Lancaster Street and Meadow Lane.
Thursday, 4:14 p.m. “RFecon utility service” sedan reported parked in the middle of the alley at 417 E. South St. Company is contracted by Northern Indiana Public Service Co. to do home inspection. Employee moved vehicle from the roadway.
Thursday, 8:15 p.m. Caller reported an erratic driver at Main and Monroe streets.
Thursday, 9:16 p.m. Individual wanted to leave the Landmark Recovery, doing business as Praxis of Fort Wayne, facility at 1529 Lancaster St. Praxis personnel agreed to let her wait in the lobby and call for a ride home.
Thursday, 10:56 p.m. Accidental 911 call.
Thursday, 11:15 p.m. Caller said an individual appeared to be staggering on the sidewalk on Walnut Street. Individual said he was limping due to an injury.
Friday, Washington Commons area. Man and woman reported to be fighting in parking lot. Man located in the parking area but denied he had been in an argument and did not hear an argument.
Friday, 8:26 a.m. Alarm going off n the lobby of Bluffton Regional Medical Center. Believed to be accidental in origin.
Friday, 9:59 a.m. Police were contacted about a domestic dispute. Situation calmed.
Friday, 10:17 a.m., 200 block of West Perry Street. Individual causing disturbance and was advised to return in July.
Friday, 10:57 a.m. Accidental 911 call received from Sunset Drive.
Friday, 11:53 a.m. Individual being discharged from Praxis at 1529 Lancaster St. and reported her purse was not with her property.
County:
Thursday, 2:14 p.m., West 300N and North 300W. Abandoned vehicle. Not on the dashboard stated the owner was planning to return with a replacement tire.
Thursday, 2:37 p.m., North 150E and East 900N. Bag of women’s clothing abandoned near a utility post.
Thursday, 7 p.m., 8888S 1100W, Warren. Vehicle parked in driveway for several hours with issues. Vehicle taken to Dillman Church while waiting for a tow truck. Caller expects driver is intoxicated. Driver blew zero on a breath test. The deputy then made contact with the caller, Mel Shideler, 61, Marion, who was nearby on a riding lawnmower. The deputy observed Shideler slurring his words and having red, watery eyes. Shideler stated he had eight beers and two shots of whiskey. Shideler failed field sobriety tests and blew a .21 percent on a breath test. He was then transported to Bluffton Regional Medical Center for a blood draw, and blew a .179 several hours later at the Wells County Sheriff’s Office. Shideler was arrested for operating while intoxicated .15 or greater, a Misdemeanor C, and operating while intoxicated, a Class C misdemeanor. Bond $1,500.
Friday, 8:45 a.m., 338E Ind. 124, rural Bluffton. Patio door open. Residence secured and homeowner notified.
Ossian:
Thursday, 6:34 p.m., North Ind. 1 and East 900N. Concrete debris in the southbound lane. Hazard removed.
Thursday, 8:45 p.m., Ossian Elementary School. Caller reported three flares in a row behind the elementary school. Unable to locate source.
Friday, 6:42 a.m., Traffic stop for driving 78 in a 55 mph zone. Records showed the driver had a suspended license. Driver cited for both and vehicle left on the side of the road.
FIRES
Friday, 12:17 p.m. Flames reported in a bedroom at 1508 W. Central Ave. Individual complained of a burn to the hand. Bluffton firefighters responded and the Salvation Army was asked to provide assistance.
