Four Friends of Ouabache State Park were recognized at Ouabache’s Lunch & Learn gathering by the Indiana State Park system for their volunteering activities at Ouabache. Making the presentations of the wooden plaques in the shape of the state of Indiana, were Jody Heaston, Volunteer Coordination of Volunteers for the state, at left, and Ouabache’s Property Manager Jon Winne, at right. Those honored left to right were Kathy Schwartz, who has led the Wonderland of Lights project from the start; Jim Glover, who for the past 20 years as kept trash off of the park’s trails; Kraig Schwartz, who has created and installed the light an music display at the firetower for Wonderland of Lights; and Danny Glover, who for the past six years has assisted with maintenance duties at the park.
