Friends of the Shelter will meet Monday afternoon
The Wells County Friends of the Shelter will meet at 5:30 p.m. Monday, April 10, at Bluffton City Hall, 128 E. Market St.
Topics on the agenda will be financial reports, reviews of past events, and announcements of upcoming events.
Ossian Town Council will meet Monday evening
The Ossian Town Council will have a full agenda and a change in time and location for its meeting on Monday, April 10.
The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. and it will be held at the First Baptist Church, 1001 Dehner Drive.
The first item on the agenda is a public hearing on the town’s septic relief. Other items on the agenda include:
• Reports from the Fire Department, the Parks Board, and the Ossian Board of Metropolitan Police Commissioners.
• The board will appoint a new council member after receiving applications. Anyone wishing to be considered for the council vacancy has until noon on Monday, April 10, to apply. Brad Pursley, a longtime member of the council, resigned recently and his resignation was effective March 31.
• Consideration of a resolution concerning the State Revolving Fund loan program.
• The council will receive a report on Tax Increment Fund management.
• Another item on the agenda is a question brought to the council by Scott Lengerich, concerning chickens.
Wells County Public Library board will meet Tuesday
The board of the Wells County Public Library will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 11, in the meeting room of the main library, 200 W. Washington St.

Northern Wells school board will meet Tuesday
The board of the Northern Wells Community Schools will meet at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 11, at the school district’s central office, 312 N. Jefferson St. in Ossian.

• Personnel matters — one retirement, two leave requests, six resignations, and four hiring recommendations.

The board of the Wells County Regional Sewer District will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 11, in Room 105, the multi-purpose room on the lower level of the Wells Carnegie Government Annex, 223 W. Washington St.
Topics on the agenda include:
• Financial matters.
• Superintendent’s report.
• Engineer’s report, including updates on projects and inspection contract.
• General project updates.

Bluffton Board of Works to meet Tuesday afternoon
The Bluffton Board of Public Works and Safety will meet at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 11, in the meeting room on the first floor of City Hall, 128 E. Market St.
Topics on the agenda for Tuesday’s meeting include:
• A junk violation in the 700 block of South Marion Street.
• Project updates from City Engineer Kelly White.
• Open bids for chassis build, Street Department.
