Richard “Dick” Dailey, 79, of Linn Grove, died at 5:11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 4, 2023, at his home with his family at his side.

He was born Jan. 12, 1944, in Bluffton, to Homer Dailey and Wilda Wolf Dailey. 

Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Jane Dailey of Linn Grove, a daughter, Stacey (Gary) Nussbaum of Berne; two sons, Kurtis (Heather) Dailey of Berne and Abe (Kacy) Haines of Bluffton; five grandchildren; and three sisters, Judy (James) Lassiter, Gloria (Fred) Wiehe, and Rose Teagle.

Calling will be from 1 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 8, at the Downing & Glancy Funeral Home, 100 N. Washington St. in Geneva. A service to celebrate Dick’s life will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 9, at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Alberson Cemetery in rural Geneva. Military rites will be conducted at the gravesite by the United States Army.
