INCIDENTS

City:

Friday, 7:30 p.m., residence in the 300 block of North Williams Street. Deputy served a warrant for arrest on Nichole Marie Colwell, 35, Bluffton, charged with domestic battery, a Class A misdemeanor. Bond set at $25,000.

Monday, 11:01 a.m., residence in the 200 block of Townley Street. Deputies went to the residence to serve a parole retake warrant on Robert Lee Wine, 23, who listed his address as the residence where the warrant was being served. However, upon arrival, sheriff’s deputies were reportedly greeted at the door by a woman who said that she was the owner of the residence. There was also an active protective order between Wine and the woman. After eventually being granted entrance to the residence by the woman, and after reportedly finding Wine hiding under a bed in one of the bedrooms of the house, the sheriff’s deputies also placed Wine under arrest for invasion of privacy, a Class A misdemeanor. Bond on that charge was set at $25,000.

Monday, 2:47 p.m., Toppings, 135 W. Market St. Report of eight or nine juveniles throwing food around inside the shop. Officers responded.

Monday, 5:54 p.m., Baldwin Street at Lancaster Street. Someone abandoned toiletry and clothing items on the corner. Officer responded and collected the items in case someone wanted to claim them.

Monday, 6:28 p.m., residence in the 1000 block of South Williams Street. Bicycle stolen.

Monday, 7:23 p.m., Dairy Queen parking lot, 960 N. Main St. Officer pulled over a vehicle southbound on Main Street that pulled into the parking lot and arrested the driver, Augustine Ramon Galvan, 45, Fort Wayne, on charges of driving while suspended with a prior conviction for the same offense, a Class A misdemeanor; and possession of marijuana, a Class B misdemeanor. Released on his own recognizance.

Tuesday, 12:11 a.m., Bluffton Regional Medical Center, 303 S. Main St. Suspicious man walking around in the basement of the hospital. Officer responded and checked the facility but did not see anyone matching the description.

Saturday, 5:21 p.m., residence at the corner of 450E and U.S. 224. Mailbox struck by a vehicle that left the scene of the accident.

Sunday, 9:28 p.m., residence on Ind. 116 just southeast of 500W. Altercation between a husband and wife. Sheriff’s deputies responded. Situation calmed, parties separated, information taken for a report.

Monday, 1:27 p.m., residence on Ind. 1 north of 1100N. Person called to report neighbors were shooting into the air and at a tree. Sheriff’s deputy responded and reported the people were not shooting at a tree or in the air. He talked with them about gun safety.

Monday, 2:33 p.m., U.S. 224 west of 200W. Combine hit a mailbox.

Monday, 3:07 p.m., 300N near 100E. Sheriff’s deputy provided traffic control for a motorist changing a tire on the motorist’s vehicle.

ACCIDENTS

Saturday, 10:59 p.m., 400S east of 600W. Markis D. Crosbie, 19, Bluffton, hit a dog belonging to Cindie Mounsey, 5666W-400S, Liberty Center, with a 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix. The dog was killed and the car sustaind more than $5,000 damage.

Monday, 3:47 a.m., 100E at 200N. James Kleber, 21, Fort Wayne, hit two deer with a 2013 Cadillac XTS. Damage exceeded $5,000.

FIRE RUNS

Monday, 7:58 p.m., Jeanne R. Ripple residence, 1205 W. Washington St. Smoke in the house. Bluffton Fire Department dispatched. Source of smoke traced to a faulty furnace.

ARRESTS

William Earl Higgins Turner, 22, Yoder; leaving the scene of a personal injury crash, a Class A misdemeanor; operating a vehicle with a controlled substance in his body, a Level 6 felony; and operating a vehicle while intoxicated, a Level 6 felony. Bond set at $6,000.

Pamela Sue Ramseyer, 64, Bluffton; bail revocation.

Burke Wayne Baughman Jr., 30, Fort Wayne; battery, a Class B misdemeanor. Bond set at $2,500.
