City:

Tuesday, 3:02 p.m., 400 block of West Wabash Street. Report of an intoxicated man walking in the area lifting his shirt and asking passersby to “show me your Glock.” Officers located the man on Walnut Street. Michael Jeffrey Mock, 50, Bluffton, was charged with battery against a public safety official, a Level 6 felony; criminal mischief, a Class A misdemeanor; resisting law enforcement, a Class A misdemeanor; disorderly conduct, a Class B misdemeanor; and public intoxication, a Class B misdemeanor. Bond set at $6,500. Reportedly a Breathalyzer test showed his alcohol concentration equivalency at the time of his arrest to be .187 percent or more than twice Indiana’s legal limit for intoxication of .08 percent.

Tuesday, 6:44 p.m., Main and Silver streets. Police officer assisted a motorist in pushing his stalled vehicle off Main Street into the nearby parking lot of the Pak-A-Sak convenience store.

Tuesday, 8:57 p.m., Flock surveillance camera system alerted to a license plate stolen out of Fort Wayne on a vehicle heading south on Main Street from 200N. Officers searched the area for the vehicle, but were unable to locate it.

Tuesday, 9:05 Hampshire Court apartments, 510 W. Dustman Rosd. Officers requested to assist with an out-of-control 10-year-old boy. Situation calmed.

County:

Tuesday, 2:41 p.m., residence on 800N west of 300W. Report of an unresponsive 58-year-old male, possibly deceased, at the residence. Sheriff’s deputies, Markle Fire Department first responders and Wells County EMS dispatched. Wells County Coroner requested.

Tuesday, 7:34 p.m., residence on Main Street in Petroleum. Sheriff’s deputies dispatched for a man threatening self-harm.

Tuesday, 11:38 p.m., Fort Wayne Police, Allen County Sheriff’s deputies and Indiana State Police were in pursuit of a vehicle that had traveled east on I-469, south on Ind. 1 — where they were joined by Wells County Sheriff’s deputies and Ossian police — through Ossian (reportedly at 100 mph) west on 800N, north on 150E, south on 950N/Mill Street back through Ossian, and back north on Ind. 1 into Allen County. The vehicle reportedly struck a tire deflation device at 1100N but continued northbound anyway. When the vehicle left Wells County, the Wells County deputies and police involved terminated their involvement in the pursuit.

Wednesday, 11:09 p.m., residence on 300S east of Ind. 1. Caller reported there was a strange woman in her residence. Sheriff’s deputies responded. Woman apparently was suffering from a medical condition that was causing her to imagine seeing things that weren’t there.

Friday, 1:47 p.m., Perfect Pet parking lot, 616 N. Main St. Christian D. Weiland, 28, Berne, backed a 2003 Volkswagen Jetta out of a parking space and crashed into the side of a 2012 Chevrolet Impala passing by behind him driven by David L. Gehrett, 78, Bluffton. Damage exceeded $2,500.

Tuesday, 6:51 p.m., 100E at Ind. 124. Stacy L. Patton, 53, Bluffton, was eastbound on Ind. 124 in a 2006 Honda Odyssey van. Stanley Jeanty, 37, Fort Wayne, was southbound on 100E/Ind. 124 bypass in a 2019 Ford Fusion. Both believed they had the right of way at the four-way-stop intersection. Both entered the intersection at the same time and the ensuing collision caused more than $5,000 damage. Patton complained of head pain and Wells County EMS was dispatched to the scene, but she was not transported to the hospital. 

County:

Monday, 7:49 a.m., Division Road at 500E. Lexis K. Elston, 22, Portland, hit a deer with her 2008 Chevrolet Impala. Damage to the car exceeded $1,000.

Tuesday, 2:15 p.m., Ind. 116 at 300N. Darrell S. Davidson, 23, Fort Wayne, was westbound on 300N in a 2019 Chevrolet Malibu and failed to yield the right of way to a southeastbound 2011 Chrysler Town and Country van driven by Jeremy Shelley, 33, Roanoke. The ensuing collision spun the Malibu around 180 degrees and caused the van to travel off Ind. 116 about 50 yards deep into a field. Damage exceeded $25,000. Both Bluffton Fire Rescue and Wells County EMS were dispatched to the scene, but no one was transported to the hospital.

Zachary Thomas Harper, 28, Markle; child molesting, a Level 4 felony. Bond set at $10,000.

Brian Matthew Ford, 42, Fort Wayne; probation violation. No bond set.

Khristopher L. Brown, 48, Murray; domestic battery committed in the presence of a child less than 16 years old, a Level 6 felony. Bond set at $25,000.

Sarah Rebekah Crowder, 18, Bluffton; theft, a Class A misdemeanor. Bond set at $1,500.

Tyler Michael Anthony Glenn Boyd, 27, Bluffton; probation violation. No bond set.

Garrett Arthur Ritchie, 25, Ossian; operating a motor vehicle after having been found to be an habitual traffic violator, operating a vehicle with an alcohol concentration equivalency of .15 percent or more and operating a vehicle while intoxicated endangering a person, all Level 6 felonies.
