Robert Lee “Bob” Napier, 89, of Kokomo, went to be with his Lord and Savior at 7:26 p.m. Monday, Nov. 7, 2022, at Kokomo Place.

He was born April 19, 1933, in Pineville, Ky., to John F. Napier and Rosie Williams Napier. His parents preceded him in death.

On Aug. 29, 1955, he married Betty Jo Sizemore. His wife survives.

Bob proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1950 to 1953. After the military, he worked as an electrician for PSI and Duke Energy. He prioritized his Lord, his church, and his children and grandchildren.

Bob was a trustee and faithful member of the Honeycreek Missionary Baptist Church. He was a true outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. Bob also enjoyed bowling, racing go-karts, and playing billiards. He was a musically gifted banjo and guitar player. He was known to his friends and family as “Mr. Coffee.”

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Sharon (Jim) Stevenson, Pat Napier, and Tammy (Bill) Pinkston; his grandchildren, Josh (Candy) Stevenson, Jake (Lindsey) Stevenson, Abby (J.C.) Fleenor, and Jessica (Jorge) Becerril; his great-grandchildren, Carter Stevenson, Austin Stevenson, Aubriana Stevenson, and Ari Fleenor; and a brother, Paul (Marlene) Napier.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings Lloyd Napier, Margie Napier Gibson, Leona Napier Lawson, Christine Napier Brock, Johnny Napier, Charles Napier, Goldie Collet, Colson Napier, Reed Napier, and Sila Napier.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 11, 2022, at the Honeycreek Missionary Baptist Church, 250 N. Nashville St. in Russiaville, Ind. A funeral service will begin at 12:30 p.m. Friday at the church with Pastor Jim Stevenson officiating. Burial will follow in the Kokomo Memorial Park. Military honors will be provided by the U.S. Army and the Kokomo VFW Military Rites Team.
