Shirley Ann Brackin, 71, of Bluffton, passed away on Friday evening, Oct. 21, 2022, at her residence.

She was born on Jan. 26, 1951, at the U.S. Naval Hospital in St. Albans (Queens), N.Y., to Wayne B. Mooney & Margot Irmgrad (Krawczak) Mooney. 

A 1969 graduate of East Meadow High School, Shirley retired from Franklin Electric after 40 years of service in January of 2018. She attended Life Community Church.

Survivors include her four children: Gregory (Roberta) Brackin, Michelle (Mike) McCarty, Jeffrey Brackin and Richard (Alexandria) Brackin. She was a loving grandma to seven grandchildren: Jennifer Brackin, Ashley Brackin, Courtney McShan, Kyle Wechsler, Andrew Brackin, Tanya Brown and Scarlett Brackin, along with nine great-grandchildren. Shirley is also survived by her sister, Madelyn Newman.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2022, at the Thoma/Rich, Lemler Funeral Home in Bluffton.

Funeral Services will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 27, 2022, at the funeral home, with another time for visitation one hour prior. Burial will follow at Covington Memorial Gardens in Fort Wayne.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Thoma/Rich, Lemler Funeral Home in Bluffton.
