Several events are planned this weekend at the Ouabache State Park, which is located east of Bluffton.
Friday, Aug. 12

Saturday, Aug. 13
10 a.m.: Go fly a kite. Come decorate a kite and practice flying it (weather permitting) and learn about some of the flying critters that call Ouabache home. Those interested in participating should meet at the campground shelter.
2 p.m.: Live bison feeding, meeting at the pen. Come meet the newest member of the herd born June 6, 2022.
4:30 p.m.: Pop at the Hydration Station.
6 p.m.: Stop by and meet the Camp Host. Participants should meet between Campground A and B and have a free Icy Pop, while supplies last.
Sunday, Aug. 14
10 a.m.: Fire Tower Climb. Meet at the tower for a short chat about the tower, then climb it.
12 Noon: Join the staff of the Ouabache State Park in a celebration of the birth of the park’s newest bison. Meet at the bison enclosure.
