3:01 p.m. Tuesday, two-vehicle accident in the parking lot of Dairy Queen, 960 N. Main St.
3:32 p.m. Tuesday, bag of marijuana found near the dumpster at Steffen Oil, 705 W. Market St. Authorities picked it up to dispose of it.
3:49 p.m. Tuesday, rock struck a vehicle in the parking lot of Valero Renewable Fuels, 1441 S. Adams St. Rock may have been launched by a Wells County Highway Department tractor doing some moving.
6:21 p.m. Tuesday, juvenile problem at the intersection of South and Union streets. Child was out of the roadway.
6:28 p.m. Tuesday, 1000 block of South Marion Street, report of a suspicious individual.
6:36 p.m. Tuesday, juvenile problem at the Wells County Public Library, 200 W. Washington St. Officers met with jubilees, advised they didn’t want any further issues.
7 p.m. Tuesday, a second juvenile problem at the Wells County Public Library, 200 W. Washington St. Individual was on a bicycle and was yelling at other individuals; he left the scene prior to officers’ arrival.
8:42 p.m. Tuesday, report of a vehicle tailgating other vehicles. Suspect taken into custody at 8:58 p.m., identified as Robert Anderson. He was arrested for driving while suspended.
9:17 p.m. Tuesday, Marion and Walnut streets, report of a possible intoxicated driver. Vehicle impounded; no further information available.
10:22 p.m. Tuesday, 400 block of East Ohio Street. Report of threat received over the internet.
10:04 a.m. Wednesday, 400 block of West Wabash Street; attempt to locate request.
County
1:06 a.m. Tuesday — Open door found at the Helena Chemical facility at 2300N-700E. Sheriff’s deputy and a representative of the business checked the building and found nothing out of place. Tank storage at 100N and 700E was also checked and no problems were found.
11:37 a.m. Tuesday — Construction sign blew onto roadway near the intersection of Ind. 218 and Ind. 1.
02:03 a.m. Wednesday — A sheriff’s deputy executed a traffic stop on Ind. 116 near 300E. The driver of the vehicle, Quillen Wade Reisen, 26, was arrested and charged with driving while suspended with a prior conviction for that offense within 10 years.
3:19 a.m. Wednesday — Wells County police officers were asked by Adams County officers to attempt to locate Ricky L. Capps Jr., who was being sought on a charge of battery on a law enforcement officer. Capps was found at what officers believed be his home at 200W north of 500S and taken into custody.
ACCIDENTS
4:20 a.m. Wednesday, 1100N west of 100W — A 2006 Saturn Vue driven by Cole M. Sands, 37, Ossian, was traveling on 1100N when a deer jumped into the roadway and struck the driver’s side door. Damage was estimated at between $2,501 and $5,000. The vehicle was drivable.
5:56 a.m. Wednesday, 300W near 400S — A 2004 Jeep Liberty driven by Jamie L. McClain, 46, Montpelier, struck a deer in the roadway. Damage was estimated at between $10,001 and $25,000.
