At its regular weekly meeting on Thursday, Ossian Rotary will host Kayleen Reusser, the author of 10 books on World War II.
She has made it her passion to interview and share the stories of hundreds of American veterans. She has interviewed 260 World War II veterans and has presented programs virtually and in-person around the nation.
Reusser and her husband, who live in Bluffton, completed a 10-day World War II tour of Europe, including France, Germany, Belgium, and Luxembourg with visits to Normandy, Paris, Nuremberg, Dachau, and other areas.
She speaks often on World War II to civic, church, library and school groups, implementing comments made to her by veterans who served in those areas. Interviewing veterans and writing their stories is her way of supporting the military and preserving our national military heritage.
The meeting will be at 7:30 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Ossian, 1001 Dehner Drive on the north side of Ossian. Anyone is welcome to attend.
