INCIDENTS

City:

Monday, 5:37 p.m., Airplane Express and Service Station. Report of a lost black coin purse. 

Monday, 6:41 p.m., south Main Street. Report of runaway juvenile. 

Monday, 7:08 p.m., Miller Street. Complaint regarding a neighbor’s bonfire. 

Monday, 7:10 p.m., Wabash Street. Four juveniles seen fighting in a car. Juveniles told officer they were wrestling over a stick and there was no issue.

Monday, 7:12 p.m., Bond Street. Man said his phone was stolen on Friday and it was mapping in the area of Short Stop. Officer travelled to the area but was unable to locate the phone. Report of theft taken. 

Tuesday, 12:12 a.m., 935 Main Street. Two juveniles suspected of starting a dumpster fire. 

Tuesday, 9:05 a.m., Bluffton Regional Medical center. Report of someone fighting. Officers detained the individual. 

County:

Monday, 3:27 p.m., Jeff Road, Warren. Woman had texted a man she had a protective order against. Man wanted to report the situation for documentation. 

Monday, 6:20 p.m., Normandy Drive, Bluffton. Sergeant responded to help the Bluffton Police Department with a man who had made suicidal comments. Man was agitated and showed signs of aggression. Sergeant made efforts to restrain the individual, who was threatening the officers and not cooperating. Officers carried the man to a patrol vehicle and transported him to Bluffton Regional Medical Center. 

Monday, 8:50 p.m., 929E 100S, rural Bluffton. Report of two golden retrievers missing since 5 p.m.

Tuesday, 12:11 a.m., Walmart, Bluffton. Deputy discovered the smell of marijuana during a regular traffic stop. Driver Brooklyn Dean admitted to driving with a suspended license and passenger Joseph Anderson but denied having any marijuana. The two had been driving with a 1 year old and 6 year old. K9 alerted and deputies searched the vehicle. Deputies found THC e-liquid cartridge and two kinds of prescription medications. Anderson said the prescriptions were his, but had been obtained for a previous illness. Dean said she had no one to watch the two children should they be arrested and the deputy agreed to let the two go pending an investigation. Deputies transported the four home after Pemberton’s Towing took the vehicle. 

FIRES

Tuesday, 12:12 a.m., 927 North Main Street, Bluffton. Report of large dumpster fire. Two juveniles seen nearby on bikes. Bluffton Fire Department responded. Fire under control at 12:23 a.m. One juvenile transported to the police department.

Jessica Bennett, 22, Bluffton; citations for determination of a potentially nuisance animal and animals running at large where prohibited.
