Irene Shearer, 90, passed away on May 15, 2022. She was 10 days shy of 91 years old.
Irene enjoyed fishing in the pond behind the house, spending time with family, and going to town. She moved into Park Side Assisted Living in Columbus, Ind., in 2019. Irene made friends there and enjoyed the bus rides. She was happy there and still enjoyed shopping.
Irene leaves behind a son, Richard (Anne) of Avon Park, Fla., and two grandsons, Eric (Kim) of Petoskey, Mich., and Andrew (Andree) of Elba, Ala. She was Grandma Reni to her great-grandsons, Brandon (Sydney) and Graham of Bennington, Vt., and great-great-granddaughter, Sutton of Fort Wayne.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James M. Shearer.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 4, at the Hoverstock Cemetery in Zanesville.
