Bluffton Board of Works to meet Tuesday afternoon

The Bluffton Board of Public Works and Safety will meet at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 10, in the meeting room on the first floor of City Hall, 128 E. Market St.

Topics on the agenda include:

• Personnel matters, brought to the board by Todd Shady and Tony Fey. Shady is the superintendent of the water filtration plant and Fey is the superintendent of the Wastewater Department.

• A request from the American Legion.

• Consideration of Orchard Circle water problems.

• Consideration of a water leak.

• Review of properties on Lancaster and Morgan streets.

• Acceptance of the infrastructure from the Premier Flats development.

Three items — the alleyways project, the AdamsWells internet agreement, and a substation discussion — are listed under old business and may or many not be considered Tuesday.

Northern Wells school board will meet Tuesday

The board of the Northern Wells Community Schools will meet at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 10, at Norwell High School, 1100E. U.S. 224.

Topics on the agenda include:

• Personnel matters, including a retirement, three resignations, and one hiring recommendation.

• Acceptance of three donations.

• Approval of Norwell Middle School and Norwell High School principals.

• Approval of the elementary schools’ math curriculum.

• Second reading of some board policies and retirement of others.

• Approval of PowerSchool Unified Insights agreement.

A strategic work session will be held immediately following the adjournment of the regular meeting.

Bluffton Common Council to meet Wednesday evening

The Bluffton Common Council will hold a special meeting at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 11, in the Council Chambers on the second floor of City Hall, 128 E. Market St.

The purpose of the meeting will be to accept a report from McGrath Consulting concerning the city’s emergency services needs.

The meeting will be open to the public.

Bluffton Parks Board will meet Thursday evening
