Dale Lynn Weedman, 68, of Bluffton, passed away Saturday morning, Jan. 29, 2022, at the Hospice Home in Fort Wayne.

Dale was born Oct. 1, 1953, in Lawrence, Ind., to Thomas and Lois Yanney Weedman.

Dale was a 1972 graduate of Southside High School. He worked at Fort Wayne Countertop during his high school years helping his father. He later worked at Broadview Lumber in the mill. In 1982 Dale went to work for Jensen Cabinet Inc. in Fort Wayne doing airline millwork across the country.

He was also a member of the Carpenters Union and a member of the Pool Club in Fort Wayne. He enjoyed playing pool, the outdoors and his dogs. He was very proud of the fact he raised four healthy children and attended multiple functions for them while working full-time.

Survivors include three sons, Derrick Weedman of Bluffton, Brent (Brittany) Weedman of Geneva, and Jason (Amy) Weedman of Aurora, Colo.; a daughter, Staci (Slava) Trofimov of Louisville, Ky.; 10 grandchildren; a brother, Tom (Jean) Weedman of Mukwonago, Wis.; his significant other, Cindy Schlichter of Bluffton; and his pet companion, Elli Mae.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Carol Weedman.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 1, at the Thoma/Rich, Lemler Funeral Home in Bluffton with Pastor Steve Surbaugh officiating. Burial will follow at the Six Mile Cemetery in Bluffton.

Calling will be for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Fresenius Dialysis Center in Bluffton.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Thoma/Rich, Lemler Funeral Home in Bluffton.
