William “Bill” Allen, 70, of Ossian, passed away Monday evening, Feb. 19, 2024, at Lutheran Hospital in Ft. Wayne.

Bill was born in Bluffton on Sept. 22, 1953, to Russell J. and Martha (Edris) Allen. Both parents preceded him in death. He married Julie J. Roser in Ft. Wayne, on Nov. 19, 1983; she survives.

A 1972 graduate of Norwell High School, Bill was the owner of CTR Grinding for 30 years, starting in 1994.

Bill enjoyed Gardening, collecting IH tractors, fishing, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. 

In addition to his wife, Bill is survived by a son, Kerry J. (Kelli) Allen of Ossian; two daughters, Kellie (Neil) Burton and Kristie Buck, both of Ossian; eight grandchildren, Kalib, Kamden, Kolton, Kowen, Callie, Kaylyn, Kyler, and Paislee.

Aside from his parents, Bill was preceded in death by three brothers, Rex, Tom, and James Allen; and a sister, Norma Baller.

Visitation will be held Friday, Feb. 23, 2024, from 2 until 7 p.m., at Goodwin – Cale & Harnish Memorial Chapel in Bluffton. Services will be held on Saturday, Feb. 24, 2024, at 10:30 a.m., at the funeral home, with one hour of visitation prior to the service. Dick Arnold will officiate. Burial will follow at Emanuel Cemetery in Rockford, Ind.
