Elizabeth “Lizzie” E. Wickey passed away on Feb. 2, 2025, at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima, Ohio, at the age of 70. She was born on Oct. 20, 1954, in Adams County.
Lizzie is survived by her sister-in-laws, Maggie J. (Christner) Wickey of Geneva, Sylvia E. (Schwartz) Wickey of Bluffton; brothers, Dave E. (Lovina) Wickey, of Berne, Amos E. (Barbara) Wickey, of Berne and Joni E. (Emma) Wickey of Glenwood, Indiana; brother-in-law, Jonas A. Neuenschwander of Blair, Wisconsin; sisters, Edna E. (Menno) Neuenschwander of Geneva, Barbara E. (Andy) Schwartz of Berne; as well as 81 nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Emma M. (Swarzentruber) Wickey; father, Amos J. Wickey; brothers, Toby E. Wickey and Jake E. Wickey; sister, Katie E. (Wickey) Neuenschwander; and four nieces and nephews.
A viewing will be held at the family residence, located at 9585 South 150 East, Geneva, on Monday, Feb. 3, 2025, from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m., and again on Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Funeral services will be officiated by Bishop Amos L. Schwartz at the residence and will begin at 8:45 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2025. Burial will follow in the Bunker Hill Cemetery.
