Attention families with wee ones: the next Tot Time special event is a Block Party on Feb. 1 at 11 a.m. in the Bluffton City Gym. Block Party events allow parents to interact and play with their children while learning how they can help them develop various skills through block play. Five stations are set up, each with a different set of blocks that aids the children in learning a specific skill. Parents are provided with tips and information on how to help their children develop each skill to the best of their ability. This is a FREE drop-in event. Enter the glass door on the west side of city hall and sign in on the wood gym door before you enter.
Daddy Daughter Dance ticket sales are in full swing. Stop by the Bluffton Park office on the 2nd floor of City Hall Monday-Friday between 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or purchase tickets online at https://raceroster.com/events/2024/82662/daddy-daughter-dance. Tickets are only $5 per child and $10 per adult.
The dance will be held Sunday, Feb. 18, at the 4-H community building from 6-8 p.m. The evening will include a fun night of dancing, refreshments, and a photo area. Pictures will be posted on the Bluffton Parks Facebook page. This year’s theme is To the Moon and Back. Come dressed to impress in the outer space theme, or wearing gold is encouraged.
Last year’s Mother-Son event was literally a blast, so this year’s event will be another Mother/Son Nerf Wars (Alien Invasion Edition). Stop by the Park office for tickets or pay online at https://raceroster.com/events/2024/83337/mother-son-nerf-wars.
The Mother/Son Nerf War will be held Sunday, Feb. 18, at the 4-H community building from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Tickets are only $5 per child and $10 per adult. The event will include an epic afternoon of Nerf games, refreshments, and a photo area. Come dressed in alien attire, or wearing green is encouraged. Mother and Sons must bring their own Nerf guns that take regular Nerf bullets and safety glasses. No bullets are needed; regular-sized blue Nerf bullets will be provided. If your gun takes batteries, please bring extra.
We are excited to share the Wells County Trails’ good news: they reached their funding goal to install a new boat ramp in Vera Cruz this year. Our department has enjoyed scheduling kayak opportunities in town, and we are glad to see more access to the Wabash River for families who enjoy a more extended trip. Thanks to everyone who contributed!
Have a great week!
