Norwell XC races at Riverview Health Invite
The Norwell girls’ and boys’ cross country teams raced at the Riverview Health Invitational in Carmel Saturday morning.
The girls team placed 20th in the championship race, while the boys placed 11th in the invitational race.

Girls: Ashley Waldman finished 81st with a time of 20:38.5, Elizabeth Norris 94th (20:58.4), Haleigh Reinhard 120th (21:43.0), Brooklyn Meyer 121st (21:54.3), Addison Meyer 129th (22:36.7), Alana Cady 132nd (22:51.9), and Teagan Lesley 134th (23:30.6).

Tigers & Raider boys place 1st & 2nd at South Adams XC Invitational
Bluffton and Southern Wells headlined the boys’ race with a first and second-place finish at the South Adams Invitational Saturday morning.
The Bluffton boys won the event with a team score of 72, and the Raiders had 120 to lead the 13-team field.
In the girls’ race, Bluffton placed 10th with a score of 25, and the Raiders were incomplete due to an insufficient amount of runners.

Raiders miss regional
qualifyer in girls’ golf by 1 spot, finishes 4th at sectional
The Southern Wells girls’ golf team just missed out on a regional qualification for the second straight year, finishing fourth at Arbor Trace Golf Course on Saturday.
The Raiders posted a team score of 412, trailing Wabash (401) for the third and final spot at next week’s regional.
Kolbie Beavans led the team with a score of 96, followed by Caroline Ripperger (100), Sophie Meeks (103), Erika Beavans (113), and Collena Reeves (114).

Southwood finished first with a team score of 377, Northfield second (381), Wabash third (401), Southern Wells fourth (412), Huntington North fifth (414), Oak Hill sixth (420), Eastbrook seventh (421), Mississinewa eighth (445), and Madison-Grant with an incomplete score.
Norwell JV falls to Bulldogs
The Norwell juniors varsity football team fell at home to New Haven 26-12 on Saturday.
Connor Fojtik intercepted a Bulldog pass for the first score, retuning it for 60 yards.
Trey Privett connected with Titus Edward on a 12-yard touchdown pass to take a 12-0 lead at the half.
