Ministries shall exist for the purpose of an ecumenical outreach to the people who live within Allen (Lafayette township and some Pleasant Township up to St. Rd. 1) in Wells (Union Township and some of Markle, and Uniondale and Zanesville). In addition, HOPE Ministries serves any person who attends on of the supporting churches of Hope Ministries. Hope Board will and has temporarily approve service to persons in the surrounding area deemed to live in a location that is not served by other churches or agencies.
Our general practice is to serve our local community and expect that other churches and organizations will serve person located in other local communities.
Our purposes include:
1. Providing food on a regular basis to those in need; third Tuesday of each month, 9 to 11 a.m., vouchers for Community Harvest Food Bank
2. Helping people with emergency financial needs utility, rent, no credit card, no phone bills. We will also pay for medical bills. We sometimes have gas cards.
3. Proclaiming to those outside the churches, the life changing good news of Jesus Christ.
It is our intent to assist persons in achieving a greater sense of self determination and meaning in their lives.
We as God’s people, with Christ as our example, strive to help others.
