Last week’s lengthy entry will be followed up with a much briefer, visual version this week. Being out of town for a couple days may also have something to do with it.
The bad news of that is, I was not in town for the library board meeting. The good news is, I was not in town for the library board meeting. Just kidding. I think.
One undeniable fact of our cultural struggles is that the left does not understand the right and vice versa. They speak different languages. Those of us generally in the middle struggle with this as well. That is often demonstrated in the editorial cartoons I go through every day I happen to stop in the office, perhaps none more so than these two embellishments that popped in Friday morning.
We can only repeat last week’s closing thought:
Where is the middle ground between these two warring factions? It’s a struggle. There is no playbook.
