Wayne A. Hull, age 76, of Ossian, passed away Tuesday morning, May 23, 2023, at Stillwater Hospice Home in Fort Wayne.
Wayne was born in Fort Wayne on Oct. 30, 1946, to L. Harrison and Evelyn (Beck) Hull. His father survives in Fort Wayne. Wayne married Shirley A. VonGunten in Fort Wayne on Jan. 21, 1967; she survives.
Wayne graduated from Elmhurst High School in 1965 and grew up in First Missionary Church in Fort Wayne. He retired from International Truck Reliability Center in Fort Wayne after 35 years of service. He served in the United States Army National Guard for six years.
Wayne was an active member of Murray Missionary Church and lived his life with the goal of honoring the Lord in thought, word, and deed. He also enjoyed driving his Model A Ford and was a treasured mechanic with the Old Fort Model A Club.
In addition to his father and wife, Wayne is survived by a daughter, Anni Hull of Fort Wayne; a son, Steven (Tara) Hull of Roanoke; three grandchildren, Daniel (Rosalinda) Hinen, Victoria Hinen (Devan Yount), and Carter Hull; three great-grandsons, Cole, Lane, and Beau Yount; and a brother, Kenneth (Myrna) Hull of Goshen.
Wayne was preceded in death by his mother.
Visitation will be Thursday, May 25, 2023, from 2:00 until 7:00 p.m., at Goodwin – Cale & Harnish Memorial Chapel in Bluffton. Services will be held on Friday, May 26, 2023, at 10:00 a.m., at Murray Missionary Church, with visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. Pastor Mike Gilbert will officiate. Burial will follow at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Ossian.
