Jean Ann “Shorty” Lawhorn, 66, of Bluffton, died Thursday afternoon, May 11, 2023, at the IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie.
She was born April 8, 1957, in Huntington, to Richard Douglas and Treva Morris Douglas. Her mother survives in Ossian.
She is also survived by a daughter, Heather Scott (Rob Schocke) of Kendallville; a son, David (Brandi) Lawhorn of Bluffton; a sister, Sharon Baker of Bluffton; and eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren..
She was preceded in death by her father; her lifelong companion, Richard Lanning; a a sister, Bonnie Haler; and a great-granddaughter.
Calling will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, May 19, at the Goodwin-Cale & Harnish Memorial Chapel in Bluffton, followed by a time of sharing at 7 p.m.
