GENEVA — The Bluffton boys’ golf team edged out Wells County rival Norwell in the South Adams Invitational at the Wabash Valley Golf Course on Saturday.

Bluffton’s boys’ golf team won the South Adams Invitational on Saturday, edging out Norwell by one stroke, shooting a 337. The Tigers topped the 12 schools represented at the Invitational, posting a team score of 337. Norwell was second, falling one stroke short with a score of 338. Southern Wells placed 11th with a score of 416.

Keegan Schwartz led the Tigers and was the medalist of the match with a score of 66. Declan Grieser was second on the team with a score of 88 and placed 12th overall, Ephraim Frauhiger third at 91, Kade Abbet with 92, and Connor Klopfenstein 99.

For Norwell, Derek Smith was the top scorer for the Knights and second overall with a score of 79. Bodie Zimmer followed Smith with an 85, Ashton Federspiel and Cooper Sloan with 79, and Ethan Ottinger with 90.

Southern Wells was led by Quinton Mullins with a score of 100, followed by Gabe McElhaney with 101, Baley Couch with 104, Chandler Oswalt with 111, and Tristen Worster with 113.

Bluffton and Southern Wells will be at the ACAC quad at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 25, at Heritage.

Norwell will be at Huntington North starting at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 25.
