Bluffton police investigated a hit-skip accident Saturday afternoon at the intersection of West Wabash and North Baldwin streets.

According to a police report, Diane R. Kahler, 41, of Decatur, said she was driving her vehicle westbound on Wabash Street when a vehicle going south on Baldwin entered the intersection. Kahler’s 2005 Dodge Caravan was damaged in the 1:24 p.m. crash; the damage was centered around the rear passenger side door.

There were several juveniles in Kahler’s vehicle and one them complained of pain in his leg. The boy had been sitting closest to the point of impact. He declined medical treatment.

Skid marks at the crash scene confirmed Kahler’s account of the crash, the police report said.

The vehicle that apparently caused the collision was described as a late 90s dark-colored utility vehicle with tinted windows. The report said that there were no suspects after the on-scene investigation.
