Norwell’s girls’ tennis team defeated its visitors from Blackhawk Christian 4-1 in Friday’s match.
Norwell (9-1) won every point except No. 1 singles, where Blackhawk Christian’s Mallory Neebes defeated Aubreyan Heyerly 6-3, 2-6, 11-9.
McKenna McNabb defeated Liz Pickett 6-0, 6-2 in No. 2 singles. Addy Heyerly defeated McKenna Koepp 6-0, 6-0 in No. 3 singles.
Annabelle Johnson and Mackinzie Toliver defeated Margaret Rees-Evans and Tessa Zolman 6-2, 6-1 in No. 1 doubles. Jordyn Xayyachack and Sofia Fernandez defeated Halle Kramer and Lauryn Nigg 6-2, 6-1 in No. 2 doubles.
Norwell won the JV match 8-0.
Hayden Double won No. 1 singles 8-0. Ella Krug won No. 2 singles 8-2. Gracie Rinkenberger won No. 3 singles 8-0.
Macy Felger and Becky Sicchiero won No. 1 doubles 8-0. Ciera Hiester and Lisa Beckman won No. 2 doubles 8-0. Emma Roembke and Emma Batdorff won No. 3 doubles 6-0. Marlee Wenger and Isabel Isch won No. 4 doubles 6-0. Renee Fraze and Taylor Werling won No. 5 doubles 6-0.
Norwell will play its next match on Monday at Carroll.
