David G. Prible, 86, of Bluffton, passed away on Friday morning, Aug. 22, 2025, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.

Dave was born on Jan. 31, 1939, in Bluffton to Harold and Helen (Highlen) Prible. He graduated from Bluffton High School with the class of 1957 and continued his education at Tri-State University. Dave worked at Kitco Engineering, Bluffton Rubber, and was a lifelong farmer. He loved working with kids and coached Little League Baseball at Petroleum for many years. While attending Park Community Church in Bluffton, he was known as the Candy Man, as he enjoyed giving candy to all the children every Sunday.

On Nov. 29, 1959, at the First Baptist Church in Bluffton, Dave and Connie Allen were married.

Survivors include Connie Jones of Bluffton and four sons, Jeff (Karen) Prible of Keystone, Bob (Cindy) Prible of Poneto, and Steve (Julia) Prible and Mark (Erin) Prible, both of Bluffton. Dave is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and siblings, Saundra Bergman of Dearborn, Michigan, and Sara Pursifull and Susan (Randy) Harnish, both of Bluffton.

Visitation will be held from 2-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2025, at the Thoma/Rich, Lemler Funeral Home in Bluffton. 

Funeral Services will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2025, at the funeral home with call for one hour prior to the service. Pastors Joe Becker and Troy Green will officiate the services.

Burial will follow at Mossburg Cemetery in Liberty Center.

Memorials may be made in Dave’s memory to Park Community Church and can be sent to the funeral home.
