Shirley M. Daigle, 90, of Bradley, Illinois, and formerly of Bluffton, passed away Saturday evening, March 1, 2025, at her residence.

Shirley was born in Chicago, Illinois, on Jan. 3, 1935, to Richard N. and Marie K. (Scharenbrock) Bourque. She married Richard G. Daigle in Chicago on Oct. 15, 1955. He preceded her in death on Nov. 20, 2015.

Survivors include four daughters, Mary T. (Bill) Reynolds of Pekin, Illinois, Catherine M. (Ron) Chambers of Mt. Dora, Florida, Julia A. (Gary) Stank of Bradley, Illinois, and Ruth A. (Jesus “Rudy”) Membiela of DeLand, Florida; two sons, Joseph G. (Tarrie) Daigle of Bluffton, and John R. (Cindy) Daigle of Elwood, Illinois; nine grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; along with several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Shirley was preceded in death by a brother, Bob Bourque; and two sisters, Leona Wherry and Evelyn Nixon.

Per Shirley’s wishes, there are no services planned at this time. Goodwin – Cale & Harnish Memorial Chapel in Bluffton has been entrusted with the arrangements.
